The right mailer should hold the product securely without forcing it into the envelope or leaving excessive empty space.

Measure the product, not the old package

Measure the product at its widest, longest and thickest points. Add room for the bubble lining and for the item to pass through the opening without pressure.

Allow for usable internal space

A mailer’s listed outer dimensions include the seals and flap. Ask your supplier for usable inside dimensions before approving a purchase order.

Test before bulk production

Request samples in two nearby sizes. Run real packing, label and drop tests with your fulfillment team before locking the specification.
